Welcome to NINMAS

Welcome to the National Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (NINMAS). NINMAS is the leading institute of nuclear medicine activities in Bangladesh. Nuclear Medicine is the medical specialty, where a trace amount of radio-isotopes is used for diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. These non-invasive and safe procedures (scans) allow diagnosis in the initial phase of the disease at the molecular level; well before they are detected by other diagnostic tests.

NINMAS is an establishment of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC) under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The institute collaborates with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) through academic activities. NINMAS provides not only nuclear medicine service to the patients but also plays a vital role for human resource development in this field all over the country. This gives a new dimension to the endeavor to represent the institute as a “Centre of Excellence” in the field of nuclear medicine services in Bangladesh.
